Speak Out Sunday #1

You were hit by a truck and you were lying there in that gutter — dying — and you had time to sing one song. One song people would remember before you’re dirt. One song that would sum you up. You’re telling me that’s the song you’d sing? That same Jimmy Davis tune we hear on the radio all day… about your peace within, and how it’s real and how you’re gonna shout it? Or, would you sing something different? Something real. Something you felt. ‘Cause I’m telling you right now, that’s the kind of song people want to hear. That’s the kind of song that truly saves people. It ain’t got nothing to do with believing in God, mister Cash. It’s got to do with believing in yourself.”

If you replace the words around (and you relate this completely to blogging you get this:

You were hit by a truck and you were lying there in that gutter — dying — and you had time to post one blog post. One blog post people would remember before you’re dirt. One blog post that would sum you up. You’re telling me that’s the one you’d write? That same Jimmy Davis stuff we read on the internet all day… about your peace within, and how it’s real and how you’re gonna shout it? Or, would you write something different? Something real. Something you felt. ‘Cause I’m telling you right now, that’s the kind of stuff people want to read. That’s the kind of stuff that truly saves people. It ain’t got nothing to do with believing in God, mister Cash. It’s got to do with believing in yourself.”

I think if people ask themselves this before writing their posts then there would be so much more content that people actually want to read.It doesn’t even have to relate about your blog. Bring this quote with you everywhere in life.

This isn’t a post about books, but I was really hit with this line from the movie and I wanted to share with everyone what I was feeling. I am wanting to start every Sunday a Speak Out Sunday where I really be real with everyone and  post something that is beyond my book fetish life.

I do hope you guys enjoyed this first Speak Out Sunday. Until next time, stay nerdy ❤
